Simpatico welcomes Roland Comtois, following an acclaimed gallery showing in CT and RI to present the next chapter of Canvases of the Cosmos, a luminous continuation of his exploration of art and the infinite beyond. The exhibition will remain on display from July 24 – 26, 2026. During the opening, various events will be held for the public to get to know Roland's amazing art. Guests are invited to meet the artist, explore his newest works, and step into an environment alive with inspiration, energy, and connection. Roland Comtois is not unfamiliar to the Talbot County area; he is known for his sellout shows as a medium around the county; Simpatico is very excited to reintroduce him as the artist he is today. Join us and step into an experience of color, vibration, and soul connection and encounter art that transcends time, space, and form.
Visionary artist Roland Comtois invites the public to experience an extraordinary weekend where art, light, and imagination converge during Canvases of the Cosmos, a captivating exhibition at Simpatico's Trattoria. On Friday, July 24, 2026, the exhibition opens to the public from 3:00–6:00 PM, offering guests an opportunity to explore Roland"s newest collection of cosmic and visionary paintings at their own pace.
From 8:00–10:00 PM, guests are invited to a complimentary Opening Reception, featuring an Artist Talk, an opportunity to meet Roland Comtois, and a special light display that illuminates the canvases in a unique and immersive way, revealing hidden movement, energy, and dimension within the artwork. The reception is free and open to the public, and guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a selection of chef-prepared small bites while experiencing this unforgettable evening.
Throughout the weekend, guests will also have the opportunity to experience other facets of Roland Comtois' creative and spiritual journey, including live painting demonstrations, an opportunity to Meet the Medium whose work has inspired audiences for decades, and a special display of his renowned Purple Papers—handwritten messages that have become a hallmark of his life's work. Together, these experiences offer a rare glimpse into the inspiration, intuition, and creative process behind both the artist and the messenger.
