This famous no-bake Italian dessert is made with coffee soaked ladyfingers layered with a rich mixture of mascarpone cheese, eggs and sugar and finished with dusting of cocoa powder.
Tiramisu, the name literally translates from Italian to "pick me up" or "cheer me up," a nod to its caffeine and sugar boost. It originated in northeastern Italy (the Veneto region, specifically popularized in Treviso at Le Beccherie restaurant in the late 1960s and early 1970s).
